Notice that the things that he TRULY cares about are packed up and leaves with him. Only the small things are left behind as what I call "emotional collateral." Emotional collateral are things that he will use to get a foot back in the door after a few days. He will swear that he needs that belt so bad. This is how men play on our emotions. They know that moving on is ten times more difficult if we see them. Out of sight, out of mind. If we see them, we begin to remember all of the good things and good times we had. We also give them the opportunity to recite the sob story that they've had a month to come up with and rehearse. Oh and let's not forget the crocodile tears.
How do you stay free of emotional collateral? Insist that he gets his belt now or never. And stick to it.
Leave here...he ain't getting no damn belt!! LOL. Don't need that roller coaster ride...I've been there, it makes things too complicated.

DeleteHonaaay! Don't I know about emotional Rollercoasters and emotional collateral. Can spot it a mile away. Truth is when a woman is done, she is done. She gets her tail off the ride in mid air, she jumps like the feline she is not afraid to give up one of those 9 lives because she knows she will land on her feet and LIVE. Same thing with emotional collateral, when she is done with the break up to make up she'll torch it or trash it like Angela Bassett in WTE. And, she want say a word about it to him. Emotional collateral has no real value and rollercoasters have no real power unless the woman gives it to them. When they do, she's simply not ready to let go so she plays the game but please believe she knows it's a true game of cat and mouse. She'll stop playing when she is ready. She is the cat. She is in control.
